Why should you clean your lashes?

Clean Lashes = Better Retention

Clean Lashes = Better Retention

Build up of oil, skin, dirt, and makeup on your extensions will cause premature shedding and can break down the adhesive. Your lashes are meant to catch debris to protect your eyes and your extensions will do the same. Cleansing these impurities away are very important!

How do you clean your lashes?

  1. Remove any eye makeup and foundation by using OIL-FREE removers using a wet cotton tip (if applicable).

  2. Apply lash shampoo onto lash extensions

  3. Use a cleansing brush and begin to clean lashes from lash line to the end of the extension. Be sure to clean in between lashes and your eyelid.

  4. Gently rinse lashes with water.

  5. Gently pat your lashes with a towel (lint-free).

  6. Dry your lashes with a fan or blow dryer (on a cool setting) and brush with your spoolie for fluffy lashes!

What happens if you don’t clean your lashes…

Blepharitis!

This inflammatory condition occurs when bacteria, dandruff, or mites are present on the eyelids.

Dead skin cells, dirt, makeup and oil will build up in your lash line very quickly!

All this build up will eat away at your lash extension's bond, breaking it down over time.

Must see a physician if occurs. Lashes must be removed.

Can last up to 4-6 weeks with treatment.
